This website uses technical cookies to ensure proper operation of the procedures and to improve the online application use experience. This document provides information on using cookies and similar technologies, on how the site uses them and on how to manage them.

a. Definitions

Cookies are small text files that the websites visited by users send to their terminals, where they are stored to then be resent to the same websites on the next visit. The so-called “third party”cookies are instead set by a website other than the one that the user is visiting. This is because there may be elements on every website (images, maps, sounds, specific links to web pages of other domains, etc.) that reside on servers other than the one of the website visited.

b. Types of cookies

Based on the characteristics and use of the cookies, different categories can be distinguished:

Technical cookies.

Technical cookies are those used for the sole purpose of “sending a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the supplier of a service of the IT company explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to supply said service” (see Art. 122, paragraph 1 of the Code). They are not used for additional purposes and are usually installed directly by the website controller or manager. They can be divided into navigation or session cookies, which guarantee normal navigation and use of the website; cookie analytics, similar to the technical cookies where used directly by the website manager to collect information, in aggregated form, on the number of users and on how they visit the website; function cookies that allow the user to navigate based on a set of criteria selected in order to improve the service provided. The prior consent of the users is not required to install these cookies, while the website manager is required to give notification to the users, pursuant to Art. 13 of the Code, that may be given with the methods deemed most appropriate if the only said devices are used.

– Cookie Analytics / WebTrends

A statistical analysis market product for recording website accesses is used only in order to monitor and improve the performance of the website. It may resort to the use of permanent and temporary cookies in order to collect statistical information and that on the “unique visitors” of the website. The cookies, called “Unique Visitor Cookies”, contain an alphanumerical code that identifies the navigation computers, however without any collection of personal data.

e. Google Analytics

The website also includes components transmitted by Google Analytics, a web traffic analysis service supplied by Google, Inc. (“Google”). These cookies are used only to monitor and improve the performance of the website. For more information, please click the link provided below:

The user can selectively disable the Google Analytics action by installing the opt-out component provided by Google on their own browser. To disable the Google Analytics action, please click the link provided below:

f. Cookie duration

Some cookies (session cookies) remain active only until the browser closes or until a logout command is given. Other cookies “survive” browser closing and are also available in subsequent user visits. These cookies are called persistent and the server sets their duration when they are created. In some cases, a deadline is set; in other cases, the duration is unlimited.

g. Cookie management

The user can decide whether or not to accept the cookies by using the settings of their browser.
Caution! Total or partial disabling of the technical cookies might jeopardise optimum use of the website.

Disabling “third party” cookies does not in any way jeopardise navigability.

The setting can be specifically defined for the various websites and web applications. Furthermore, the browsers allow different settings to be defined for the “proprietary” and “third party” cookies. For example, in Firefox you can access a control panel through the Tools->Options->Privacy menu, where you can define whether or not to accept the different types of cookies and then remove them. Documentation on how to set the cookie management rules for your browser is easy to find on the Internet. By way of example, several addresses relating to the most popular browsers are provided:
